There is one pet peeve the bus drivers mention more than any others; the riders do not have their money or passes ready when boarding. Have your change and bills or bus passes in hand when getting on the bus.

   Example: One afternoon, a rider was short 25 cents. He looked around for someone to offer a quarter but the bus driver told him to get off the bus if he couldn't come up with the remaining change. I thought this rather harsh but soon found out that the rider did this on a regular basis and the driver knew it.
